Stay away from LG product in general as they can't provide the warranty they say that they will. Thankfully, I purchased this thru Amazon and they immediately processed a return authorization for me. They do care about their customers. Thank you, Amazon!
Poor quality control for such a nice product overall. You will definitely want to check your Warming function. The assembly process cut one of the thermistor wires which gave an F2 fault the first time I tried to use the warming function. If this happens to you RETURN the microwave - don't have one of LG's untrained, unskilled, uncaring "techs" come out and destroy it replacing one tiny component. I now have a scratched, dented, and bent up outer wrap, making for a very unattractive, and expensive microwave.
Purchased this micro from ABC warehouse Oct 19 2010, and installed in Oct 26. Noticed it was overheating food. The auto popcorn setting would work for 30 seconds and stop giving an F-4 fault. LG policy is to call service so I did. A service person came out and contacted LG. LG said there is not F-4 fault on the books for this microwave. LG said it was the main controller that was out. ABC Warehouse said they could get another micro the next day but LG would not let me get a replacement without on-line authorization. I went to resolutions@LG.com and requested that I be able to replace the microwave. The customer service person told me I would get a response within 48 hours. I never even received an on-line acknowledgement of my request. Service called after leaving the house and said the part is on backorder with no anticipated date of getting the part in. I called the Indian speaking customer service again after several days and they said I would be called any minute. I was never called. I called again today after over two weeks of waiting and now they say they have to call back Monday because their parts department is not open Saturdays. I would never purchase another LG product again. Their customer service is simply lip service and the LG must stand for Life is Good for the Company only because they do not know how to take care of customers.
